Transmission Fluid Change for 2007 Toyota Tundra

Overview

The 2007 Toyota Tundra requires 32 quarts of ATF WS transmission fluid for a complete drain and fill. The recommended transmission fluid is Pentosin ATF 1, which is a fully synthetic high-performance fluid.

Materials Needed

* 32 quarts of ATF WS transmission fluid * Drain pan * Funnel * Rags * 19mm socket wrench

Instructions

1. Park the Tundra on a level surface and engage the parking brake. 2. Locate the transmission pan under the vehicle. 3. Place the drain pan under the transmission pan. 4. Loosen the drain plug with the 19mm socket wrench. 5. Allow the transmission fluid to drain completely. 6. Clean the drain plug and apply a new washer. 7. Tighten the drain plug to 29 ft-lbs. 8. Fill the transmission with 32 quarts of ATF WS transmission fluid using a funnel. 9. Check the transmission fluid level and add more fluid as needed. 10. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes. 11. Shift through all the gears and then check the transmission fluid level again. 12. Add more fluid as needed until the level is correct.
