All-Time Total Compensation Surpasses $65 Million

The upcoming 2023 US Open Tennis Championships will set a new all-time high for player compensation, with a total prize pool of over $65 million. This significant increase marks the ninth consecutive year of growth for the US Open under an 11-year contract with ESPN, which holds exclusive broadcasting rights for the tournament.

Tournament Schedule and Location

The 2023 US Open will take place from Tuesday, August 22nd to Sunday, September 10th at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York. The tournament will feature top-ranked players from around the world competing for the prestigious Grand Slam title.

Prize Money Distribution

The 2023 US Open prize money will be distributed as follows:

  • Singles champions: $2.6 million
  • Singles runners-up: $1.3 million
  • Semifinalists: $705,000
  • Quarterfinalists: $445,000
  • Fourth round: $278,000
  • Third round: $188,000
  • Second round: $121,000
  • First round: $80,000

This represents a substantial increase from the previous record-breaking prize money of $60 million awarded in 2022.
